Braid Mission ‘Cards of Hope’ Fundraiser

 

Crystal Expressions is donating 20 Handcrafted cards to Braid Missions to sell on their Etsy Store to raise funds to support their program assisting foster children in the San Francisco & Bay Area.   They are requesting card makers around the country to donate  handcrafted cards.  They plan to sell 1,000 cards to raise funds.

“The Wind On My Face is the Kiss of God” inspirational card from the Little   Belle series mailed to Delores of Jesup, Georgia.  She is 80 years old and a Christian who loves to read her Bible and likes scripture quotes.  She also received a scripture bookmark and magnetic cross.

 A Little Belle Card for Sandra of Stow, Ohio.  The Birthday card is painted in watercolor with a color pencil glaze in the background.  Bible Verse stamped “This is the Day the Lord has Made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  Sandra is turning 72 and is in a rehab center.   A scripture bookmark is also enclosed.

 Encouragement Card in color pencil from the Little Belle Series for Gillian of Chesterfield, England.  The card is stamped with a quote from Helen Keller:  "It's wonderful to climb the liquid mountains of the sky Behind me and before me is God and I have no fears."  

Gillian is battling Multiple Sclerosis and is homebound.  She likes card making and stickers.  Enclosed in the card is a scripture bookmark and several flower stickers for her to use.

Your Wings Exist All You Need to do is Fly!

 Crystal Belle at age 4 (left) trying out the controls of a airplane.  She had magical wings and she loved to fly.  She was adventurous at a very young age. As a baby she bounced  up and down the stairs.   She started jumping on a trampoline at age 18 months and kept jumping higher and higher.  Laughing with joy and delight at the new heights she could reach. She always had wings and was fearless.  Her parents had to run from side to side around the trampoline to catch her.  She giggled and laughed with pure joy as she flew from side to side.  She definitely had the kiss of God on her face.

A handcrafted Card for Chris of Wattie Grove, Sydney Australia.  She is in lockdown due to Covid-19 and feeling isolated.  She loves the outdoors and camping.  The card is from the Little Belle Series and designed with both watercolor and color pencil drawings as well as die cutouts of plants.

 Crystal age 3 wearing her favorite little red dress working in the garden.  She loved that little dress with the blue flowers.  She wore it everyday.  Mom would wash it at night so it would be nice and clean for Crystal to wear the next day.
